Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you visit this site or join our list, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

AUREI is run by Ziheng Wang. We are the controller of the personal data described here. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at aureiritual@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you join our list, we collect your email address. We also keep a record of when and how you signed up, so we can show that you agreed to hear from us.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the page and keep the site secure. We do not use this to identify you.

How we use it

We use your email address only to tell you about our first release and, from time to time, about future products. We will not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by joining the list. You can withdraw it at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, or by writing to us.

Who helps us

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and the list:

  • Kit (Kit Inc., United States) to store the list and send our emails.
  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States) to host this site.

They process your data only on our instructions. Some of them are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that, we delete it within 30 days, except for a minimal record that you unsubscribed, so that we don't email you again by mistake.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and our fonts are served from this site, not from a third party. If we add analytics later, we will update this section and ask for your consent first.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • limit or object to how we use it;
  • send it to you, or to another service, in a common format.

To use any of these rights, email us. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our list is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
